Sermon series begins

Pastor John Leonard began a new four-part sermon series, “What Jesus Came to Do,” this past Sunday at Lansing First Southern Baptist Church. Part One, “Replacing Rules With Relationships,” explored Jesus’ encounter with the “rich young ruler.”

“We’ll read about Jesus having one-on-one personal encounters with different men and women through His life,” Leonard explained about the series. “Every time Jesus had an experience with somebody, it was only for minutes or at the most for a few hours … yet He never left people the same way He found them.”

Part Two continues the series this week at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.
