The Carnegie Arts Center is a private non-profit fine arts organization and a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. Some programs are supported in part by the Kansas Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment of the Arts, a federal agency, and the Leavenworth Parks and Recreation Dept. Anyone is eligible to participate or become a member of the Carnegie regardless of age and ability. Scholarships are available.

Here are the camps:

KinderCamp - Musikgarten

Description: This is a sequential music and development program for children. Price includes cost of the kit.

* Ages: 4 -5 years

* Time: 9-9:45 a.m.

* Dates: June 9 -13, 2008 (One week)

* Cost: $85 Members/$90 nonmembers

KinderCamp - Art

Description: Art for young children, which is age appropriate in a camp setting.

* Ages: 4-5 years

* Time: 10-10:45 a.m.

* Date: June 9-13, 2008 (One week)

* Cost: $50 Members/$55 nonmembers

(Note: If signing for both KinderCamps tuition = $120/$125. Multiple registration discount = $10 per student)

Pre-Camp June

Description: Plan to include art and music in your child's summer activities. This camp is for early school-aged children.

* Ages: 6-7 years

* Time: 9-11 a.m.

* Date: June 16-20, 2008 (One week)

* Cost: $75 Members/$85 non-members (Multiple registration discount = $10. per student)

Camp Ancient China - June

This year's camp follows the theme of Ancient China. Camp students will experience the art and music of the era.

* Ages: 8 -12 years

* Time: 9 a.m.-noon

* Date: June 23-27, 2008 (One week)

* Cost: $110 Members/$120 non-members. (Multiple registration discount = $10. per student)
