Conservation district announces contest winners
April 25, 2008
The Leavenworth County Conservation District handed out awards to its poster winners earlier this month at the Lansing Community Center. This year's theme was "Water is Life."
Winners for second grade were: Alex Russell, Corey Horosko, Madi Musick, Maria Valencia; third grade: Alexandria Lesniak, Grace LeClerc, Sarah Jo Schwinn, Joseph Hrenchir; fourth grade: Katie Rathjen, Priscila Hernandez, Amy Kim, Orion Fairbanks; fifth grade: Mary Wolken, Maisie Conrad, Monica Brich, Hannah Walker; sixth grade: Tonishia Jones, Emily Kurec, Savannah Cummins, Kelsey Fleshman.
In all, there were 20 winners from a total of 353 posters submitted.
