Democrat urges caucus attendance
January 10, 2008
To the editor:
It has been decades since Kansas has impacted the national decision for the democratic Presidential Nominee. On Super Tuesday, Feb. 5, that will change. Kansas Democrats will once again have the opportunity, the privilege and the responsibility to get involved and help select the next President of the United States.
You can begin preparing for our Super Tuesday caucuses by spreading the word to your friends and neighbors about the caucuses. For those in State Senate District 5 (Gilstrap), you will meet at the Riverfront Community Center, 123 N. Esplanade, Leavenworth. Those members of the county that are in the 3rd Senate District (Pine), will meet at the Metcalf Memorial Armory, 200 Iowa St., Lawrence. At both locations the doors will open at 6 p.m. and you must be in line by 7 p.m. in order to be eligible to decide the next Democratic Presidential Nominee.
If you have already decided who you will be supporting on Super Tuesday, contact your candidates campaign and begin volunteering to help him/her win you caucus!

Remember, the race is far from over, don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of who will decide the nominee on Super Tuesday. The hard work starts now to begin to reclaim the executive branch, while retaining the legislative branch so that we Democrats can fix the mess the current administration put this country in.
