The days of guaranteed three-year assignments with follow on orders coming a year out are gone for military forces with our nation at war. With increased frequency of moves for military personnel and decreased time on station, it is extremely important that the local community supports soldiers.

My wife and I are currently attending the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth. Since arriving in the Leavenworth/Lansing area for our ten-month stay, we have continually been supported by the community.

Most local companies offer special contracts for CGSC students for 10 months instead of forcing a 12-month lock in requiring orders to break the contract. Two of these businesses are Visions Salon and Spa and the Maximus Gym.

The community further supported us when our grandson came to visit. The Kinder Care in Lansing jumped through hoops to make sure they could watch him while we were in class. This is the kind of support that keeps soldiers focused on the mission because they know that people support them.

It is just as critical for military personnel to understand that they have a part in keeping the community strong. We cannot create an us versus them mentality and have to work together to build communities where the military is a viable part.

We would like to thank the community for its support and understanding and let them know that their support has a huge impact on moral and mission accomplishment.

   Here as told by Law Enforcement is the new Bible of “Liberty” ….
   You see, once there was a party in North America and then one day there was a “hangover”.

   So as it became apparent that people worldwide might question the moral status of the party place and the “inclusive” party people then a brilliant cover story was devised.
   (something happy and female unlike “a trail of tears”) Something that could sell S.U.V.s. and cable T.V.

   And it went something like this: “give us your poor, your huddled masses”, “your tired”. “your tax criminals, rapists and so on” nice party !!! with the worlds easiest credit terms from the very first day.

   Everyone recovered and the angels sang and the big wheels turned until finally the industrial revolution peaked: It was right about this time
   that the Liberty people became the caretakers of the immoral and wild BIG world. Suddenly the Liberty people became the “love it or leave it people” or better yet do not bother to come unless you serve.

   If you are from the elite of anyplace, the sons of kings, the daughters of the university presidents, or you just have bags of money then certainly “Liberty” is the place for you like a fine Cuban Cigar from God. “Liberty” had arrived with a public lottery and private party.

   Of the Liberty people, it is interesting just how many of them have come from the one country that has tried to end the world twice but Liberty is blind and very forgiving when there is a new party to attend to and party favors are always fun for families.
   So really, “Liberty” is truly the one product that has the best advertising with no content of any type other than nice little “sound bites” that feel like family “howdy dowdy” songs of media and stories of separate and supposedly equal, all based on “merit” of course.

   So really the Libertarians are like the people of God, they can simply make any situation ambigious for the sake of true “Liberty”. They say “stay in your place and make your country free”… do not come here, unless you have the right party beverages.

   Do NOT be tired, DO NOT be poor, DO NOT be huddled(that would be terrorism) …. and do not yearn to breathe free, because frankly it is increasingly more difficult to breathe or to drive on the highways of Liberty, and that is true Liberty, because anything else would be “eco terrorism” against the God who says “be fruitful and multiply”.

   Oh, the Dance is in the Streets and in the media of just about every small town and county of the Midwest, push your pedal to the metal… and you are truly liberated.

   I am certain that our Lansing Community looks forward to the influx of new Americans
   who we are so desperately trying to save in the war effort for our love of fellow man/
   woman. Love is the word we use for the advertisement of war.
