Leavenworth Council on Aging to host public hearing

All interested community members will have the opportunity to provide input on future ongoing programs in Leavenworth County during the annual Public Hearing being held by the Wyandotte/Leavenworth Area Council on Aging.
The public hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the Leavenworth County Council on Aging office, 109-A Delaware, Leavenworth.
The purpose of the hearing is to provide a forum to comment and make suggestions as to the needs of older adults, as well as to voice the effectiveness of current programs.
Persons interested in submitting written testimony or who wish to be placed on the agenda are asked to call Jeanette Weeks at (913) 684-0777 at least two weeks prior to the hearing.
Anyone requiring accommodations such as an interpreter, large print readers of hearing assistance, should notify the Council on Aging no later than 48 hours prior to the hearing.
