For more than 200 area Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts that arrived Saturday morning at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, it took only an hour to stake approximately 30,000 miniature American flags before each headstone in the military resting place.

With construction season in full swing, Leavenworth County Commissioners talked roads and bridges Thursday, approving various expenditures for the Public Works Department and authorizing a seasonal move to a four-day workweek for county work crews.
