June 23, 2009
Kenneth W. Bernard Community Park officially will be opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 2.
The new facility is named after Kenneth Bernard, who has served as Lansing mayor for more than 25 years.
Phase One of the park was completed earlier this year. Future phases include work on athletic fields and other infrastructure.
The park is approximately 1.5 miles west of Main Street and 4-H Road. The ceremony will take place near the bridge.
