Vance Adair Jackson 1956 - 2007
Services for Vance Adair Jackson, 51, of Bolivar, Mo., were Friday, Dec. 28, at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Bolivar. Cremation followed the services.
Mr. Jackson died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Citizen's Memorial Hospital after sudden heart failure.
He was born Dec. 18, 1956 in Marshall, Mo., the son of John Edward and Mary Verna (Collins) Jackson.
He was a graduate of the Kansas City Kansas Community College and a graduate after two years of college at Kansas University Medical Center in respiratory care.
He worked at Providence Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., before moving to Bolivar in 1989 to work at Citizen's Memorial Hospital in the respiratory therapy field. After leaving the respiratory care field, he became a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Jackson, of the home; a son, Mitchell, of the home; his mother, Mary V. Jackson, Lansing; and a sister, Verna Ann Worrall, Lansing.
The family suggests memorials to the Vance Jackson Scholarship Fund at the Bank of Bolivar, the American Heart Association or Citizen's Memorial Hospital Hospice Program, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 11, Bolivar, MO 65613.
