Services for Elizabeth L. VanDruff, 77, formerly of Leavenworth, were Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Burial was at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mrs. VanDruff died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at her home in rural Easton.
She was born July 3, 1930, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Alvie and Viola (Lancaster) Darby.
On Dec. 31, 1954, she married Grover C. VanDruff Jr. He died in 1990.
Two grandsons and three great-grandsons also died earlier.
Survivors include her children, Andrea Fields, Lansing, Billy Stewart, Diane Last, Russell VanDruff, Elizabeth Fryman and Philip VanDruff, all of Leavenworth, Donald VanDruff, Missouri, and Brenda Achord, Easton; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale Darby; a sister, Shirley Brewer; and a close friend and aunt, Lillian Shrader.
The family suggests memorials to St. Luke's Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, 4701 Tenth Ave., Leavenworth 66048.
