Tom and Ryan Young of Young Sign Co., Leavenworth, work on a sign on the west scoreboard at Arrowhead Stadium. Though Young Sign Co. had done work previously at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and Kemper Arena, this is the first time it has worked at Arrowhead.
Lindsey Welch, a Kansas State University student and Immaculata High School graduate, spent part of her summer at Chimps Inc., an animal sanctuary in Bend, Ore. Welch is a senior in anthropology with an emphasis on primatology.
Rod Briggs, left, and Ben Doll are the new co-sponsors of Leadership at Lansing High School. They recently began their first school year at LHS.
Pam Tuttle holds a flower arrangement that was donated to the Share the Hope luncheon, a fundraiser for breast cancer research. The arrangement was one of many donated to the event. Barb Alonzi, standing at left, said the event raised $2,600 on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
