Wallula Christian School has announced plans to cut its kindergarten through fifth-grade class offerings beginning next fall. The private school, at 23785 139th St. in Lansing, has 35 children enrolled in those grades.
The U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth may have its first execution since 1961. The military has asked President Bush to approve the executions of Ronald A. Gray and Dwight J. Loving, two soldiers convicted of murder.

The course has attracted 250 U.S. and 27 international military students.
